Opera Superstar Marina Rebeka to Perform Solo Concerts in Latvia

Hailed as the most successful soprano in Latvia’s history, Marina Rebeka has taken the world’s greatest stages by storm. She was entrusted with the title role in Médée at Milan’s legendary Teatro alla Scala — a role last sung there by Maria Callas — and it was for her that La Scala revived the iconic opera Norma after a 48-year absence.

From the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in New York to Covent Garden in London, the Paris and Vienna Operas, the Staatsoper Berlin, Madrid’s Teatro Real, and the Salzburg Festival — audiences have risen in ovation to the soprano from Riga.

In recognition of her artistry, Rebeka has been awarded the Order of the Three Stars in Latvia and the Order of Arts and Letters in France. In 2025, she received the Readers’ Award at the International Opera Awards, and in 2020, she was named Artist of the Year by the International Classical Music Awards.

In 2026, Marina Rebeka’s schedule includes a dazzling array of performances: Lucrezia (Lucrezia Borgia, debuted in 2025) at Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Abigaille (Nabucco) at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Médée at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Aida at Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and at the Latvian National Opera, Leonora (Il Trovatore) at Teatro Real in Madrid, Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) at Torre del Lago’s open-air theatre, and Marguerite (Faust) at La Scala in Milan. She will also tour Europe with the Zurich Opera, performing Verdi’s Requiem.

Amid these high-profile international engagements, Marina Rebeka will return home to Latvia for a series of very special solo concerts in three cities.
